Acts 7:45-47
Good News Translation
45 (A)Later on, our ancestors who received the tent from their fathers carried it with them when they went with Joshua and took over the land from the nations that God drove out as they advanced. And it stayed there until the time of David. 46 (B)He won God's favor and asked God to allow him to provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.[a] 47 (C)But it was Solomon who built him a house.

New International Version
45 After receiving the tabernacle, our ancestors under Joshua brought it with them when they took the land from the nations God drove out before them.(A) It remained in the land until the time of David,(B) 46 who enjoyed God’s favor and asked that he might provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.[a](C) 47 But it was Solomon who built a house for him.(D)
