52 Which of the Prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them, which showed before of the coming of that Just, of whom ye are now the betrayers and murderers,
53 (A)Which have received the law by the [a]ordinance of Angels, and have not kept it.
54 [b]But when they heard these things, their hearts brast for anger, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.

52 Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute?(A) They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him(B)— 53 you who have received the law that was given through angels(C) but have not obeyed it.”
