9 Now a man named Simon had previously been practicing (B)magic in the city and astonishing the people of Samaria, (C)claiming to be someone great; 10 and all the people, from small to great, were paying attention to him, saying, “(D)This man is the Power of God that is called Great.”

9 Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery(A) in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great,(B) 10 and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, “This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.”(C)
