^9 (A)And a vision appeared to Paul in the night: a man of ^(B)Macedonia was standing and pleading with him, and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”

²² And after he sent into ^(A)Macedonia two of ^(B)those who assisted him, ^(C)Timothy and ^(D)Erastus, he himself stayed in ^[a](E)Asia for a while.

²⁹ The city was filled with the confusion, and they rushed together into the theater, dragging along ^(A)Gaius and ^(B)Aristarchus, Paul’s ^(C)Macedonian traveling ^(D)companions.

²⁶ For ^(A)Macedonia and ^(B)Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the ^[a]saints in Jerusalem.

⁷ so that you became an example to all the believers in ^(A)Macedonia and ^(B)Achaia. ⁸ For ^(C)the word of the Lord has ^(D)sounded forth from you, not only in ^(E)Macedonia and ^(F)Achaia, but ^(G)in every place the news of your faith toward God has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything. ⁹ For they themselves report about us ^[a]as to the kind of ^(H)reception we had with you, and how you ^(I)turned to God ^(J)from ^[b]idols to serve ^[c](K)a living and true God, ¹⁰ and to ^(L)wait for His Son from ^[d]heaven, whom He ^(M)raised from the dead, that is, Jesus who ^(N)rescues us from ^(O)the wrath to come.
