Amos 5:12-14
Good News Translation
12 I know how terrible your sins are and how many crimes you have committed. You persecute good people, take bribes, and prevent the poor from getting justice in the courts. 13 And so, keeping quiet in such evil times is the smart thing to do!
14 Make it your aim to do what is right, not what is evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty really will be with you, as you claim he is.

12 For I know how many are your offenses
and how great your sins.(A)
There are those who oppress the innocent and take bribes(B)
and deprive the poor(C) of justice in the courts.(D)
13 Therefore the prudent keep quiet(E) in such times,
for the times are evil.(F)
14 Seek good, not evil,
that you may live.(G)
Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you,
just as you say he is.
