Amos 5:12-14
New Life Version
12 For I know that you have done much wrong and your sins are many. You make trouble for those who are right and good, and you take pay in secret for wrong-doing. You will not be fair to the poor. 13 The wise man keeps quiet at such a time, for it is a sinful time.
14 Look for good and not sin, that you may live. Then the Lord God of All will be with you, just as you have said.

12 For I know how many are your offenses
and how great your sins.(A)
There are those who oppress the innocent and take bribes(B)
and deprive the poor(C) of justice in the courts.(D)
13 Therefore the prudent keep quiet(E) in such times,
for the times are evil.(F)
14 Seek good, not evil,
that you may live.(G)
Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you,
just as you say he is.
