11 As a matter of fact,[a] Amos is saying this: ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword and Israel will certainly be carried into exile[b] away from its land.’”

12 Amaziah then said to Amos, “Leave, you visionary![c] Run away to the land of Judah. Earn your living[d] and prophesy there! 13 Don’t prophesy at Bethel any longer, for a royal temple and palace are here.”[e]

12 Then Amaziah said to Amos, “Get out, you seer!(C) Go back to the land of Judah. Earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.(D) 13 Don’t prophesy anymore at Bethel,(E) because this is the king’s sanctuary and the temple(F) of the kingdom.(G)
