Amos 7:14-16

14 Then Amos answered Amaziah, “I am[a] no prophet nor a prophet’s son, but I am[b] a herdsman and a dresser of sycamore trees,(A) 15 and the Lord took me from following the flock, and the Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’(B)
16 “Now therefore hear the word of the Lord.
You say, ‘Do not prophesy against Israel,
and do not preach against the house of Isaac.’(C)

14 Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet(A) nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees.(B) 15 But the Lord took me from tending the flock(C) and said to me, ‘Go,(D) prophesy(E) to my people Israel.’(F) 16 Now then, hear(G) the word of the Lord. You say,
“‘Do not prophesy against(H) Israel,
and stop preaching against the descendants of Isaac.’
