2 When the locusts had finished eating every plant in the land, I said, “Adonay Yahweh, please forgive us! How can the descendants of Jacob survive? There are so few of them.”
3 Yahweh changed his plans about this. “This won’t happen,” Yahweh said.
The Lord Threatens to Bring a Drought by Fire
4 This is what Adonay Yahweh showed me: Adonay Yahweh was calling for judgment by fire. The fire dried up the ocean and burned up the land.

New International Version
2 When they had stripped the land clean,(A) I cried out, “Sovereign Lord, forgive! How can Jacob survive?(B) He is so small!(C)”
3 So the Lord relented.(D)
“This will not happen,” the Lord said.(E)
4 This is what the Sovereign Lord showed me: The Sovereign Lord was calling for judgment by fire;(F) it dried up the great deep and devoured(G) the land.
