Amos 8:1-2

Good News Translation

8 I had another vision from the Sovereign Lord. In it I saw a basket of fruit. ²The Lord asked, “Amos, what do you see?”

“A basket of fruit,” I answered.

The Lord said to me, “The end^[a] has come for my people Israel. I will not change my mind again about punishing them.

Amos 8:1-2

8 This is what the Sovereign Lord showed me:^(A) a basket of ripe fruit. ²“What do you see,^(B) Amos?^(C)” he asked.

“A basket^(D) of ripe fruit,” I answered.

Then the Lord said to me, “The time is ripe for my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.^(E)
