8 But now you must stop doing such things. You must quit being angry, hateful, and evil. You must no longer say insulting or cruel things about others. 9 (A) And stop lying to each other. You have given up your old way of life with its habits.
10 (B) Each of you is now a new person. You are becoming more and more like your Creator, and you will understand him better.

8 But now you must also rid yourselves(A) of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander,(B) and filthy language from your lips.(C) 9 Do not lie to each other,(D) since you have taken off your old self(E) with its practices 10 and have put on the new self,(F) which is being renewed(G) in knowledge in the image of its Creator.(H)
