¹³ Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king began speaking and said to Daniel, “Are you that Daniel who is one of the ^[a](A)exiles from Judah, whom my father the king ^(B)brought from Judah?

¹³ Then they responded and spoke before the king, “^(A)Daniel, who is one of the ^[a]exiles from Judah, pays ^(B)no attention to you, O king, or to the injunction which you signed, but keeps offering his prayer three times a day.”
