4 On the twenty-fourth day of the first month[a] I was on the bank of the great river, the Tigris. 5 As I looked up, I saw a man[b] dressed in linen with a belt of fine gold around his waist.(A) 6 His body was like chrysolite, his face shone like lightning, his eyes were like fiery torches, his arms and feet looked like burnished bronze, and the sound of his voice was like the roar of a multitude.

4 On the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank(A) of the great river, the Tigris,(B) 5 I looked up(C) and there before me was a man dressed in linen,(D) with a belt of fine gold(E) from Uphaz around his waist. 6 His body was like topaz,(F) his face like lightning,(G) his eyes like flaming torches,(H) his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze,(I) and his voice(J) like the sound of a multitude.
