23 I offer thanks and praise to You,
God of my fathers,(A)
because You have given me
wisdom and power.
And now You have let me know
what we asked of You,
for You have let us know(B)
the king’s mystery.[a]

24 Therefore Daniel went to Arioch,(C) whom the king had assigned to destroy the wise men of Babylon. He came and said to him, “Don’t kill the wise men of Babylon! Bring me before the king, and I will give him the interpretation.”(D)

25 Then Arioch quickly brought Daniel before the king and said to him, “I have found a man among the Judean exiles(E) who can let the king know the interpretation.”

Daniel Interprets the Dream

24 Then Daniel went to Arioch,(D) whom the king had appointed to execute the wise men of Babylon, and said to him, “Do not execute the wise men of Babylon. Take me to the king, and I will interpret his dream for him.”

25 Arioch took Daniel to the king at once and said, “I have found a man among the exiles(E) from Judah(F) who can tell the king what his dream means.”
