Daniel 2:5-6
New International Version
5 The king replied to the astrologers, “This is what I have firmly decided:(A) If you do not tell me what my dream was and interpret it, I will have you cut into pieces(B) and your houses turned into piles of rubble.(C) 6 But if you tell me the dream and explain it, you will receive from me gifts and rewards and great honor.(D) So tell me the dream and interpret it for me.”

5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from me: if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.
6 But if ye shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof.

48 Then the king placed Daniel in a high(A) position and lavished many gifts on him. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and placed him in charge of all its wise men.(B)
