Daniel 4:26-28
Expanded Bible
26 “Since the stump of the tree and its roots were left in the ground, your kingdom will be given back to you when you learn that ·one in heaven rules your kingdom [L heaven is sovereign]. 27 So, O king, please accept my advice. ·Stop sinning [Atone for/L Break off your sins] and ·do what is right [be righteous]. Stop doing wicked things and be kind to the ·poor [oppressed]. Then you might continue to be ·successful [prosperous].”

28 All these things happened to King Nebuchadnezzar.

New International Version
26 The command to leave the stump of the tree with its roots(A) means that your kingdom will be restored to you when you acknowledge that Heaven rules.(B) 27 Therefore, Your Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed.(C) It may be that then your prosperity(D) will continue.(E)”
