Daniel 4:33-34
Complete Jewish Bible
33 (36) “It was at that moment that my understanding came back to me; and for the sake of the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and splendor also came back to me. My advisers and lords sought me out, I was re-established in my kingdom, and to my previous greatness even more was added. 34 (37) So now I, N’vukhadnetzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven:
“‘For all his works are truth,
and his ways are just;
and he can humble those who walk in pride.’”
Daniel 4:33-35
New International Version
33 Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. His body was drenched(A) with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird.(B)
34 At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity(C) was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever.(D)
His dominion is an eternal dominion;
his kingdom(E) endures from generation to generation.(F)
35 All the peoples of the earth
are regarded as nothing.(G)
He does as he pleases(H)
with the powers of heaven
and the peoples of the earth.
No one can hold back(I) his hand(J)
or say to him: “What have you done?”(K)
