⁸ But finally Daniel came in before me, whose name is ^(A)Belteshazzar according to the name of my god, and in whom is ^[a](B)a spirit of the holy gods; and I related the dream ^[b]to him, saying, ⁹ ‘Belteshazzar, ^(C)chief of the soothsayer priests, since I know that ^(D)a spirit of the holy gods is in you and ^(E)no secret baffles you, ^(F)tell me the visions of my dream which I have seen, along with its interpretation.

¹⁸ This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, tell me its interpretation, since none of the ^(A)wise men of my kingdom is able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, because a ^(B)spirit of the holy gods is in you.’

¹⁴ Now I have heard about you that ^[a]a spirit of the gods is in you, and that illumination, insight, and extraordinary wisdom have been found in you.
