Daniel Interprets the Writing

13 Then Daniel was brought in before the king. And the king spoke and said to Daniel, “Are you that Daniel who is one of the sons of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Judah? 14 Now I have heard of you, that the Spirit of God is in you; and that light, and understanding, and excellent wisdom have been found in you.

12 He did this because Daniel, whom the king called Belteshazzar,(A) was found to have a keen mind and knowledge and understanding, and also the ability to interpret dreams, explain riddles(B) and solve difficult problems.(C) Call for Daniel, and he will tell you what the writing means.(D)

13 So Daniel was brought before the king, and the king said to him, “Are you Daniel, one of the exiles my father the king brought from Judah?(E) 14 I have heard that the spirit of the gods(F) is in you and that you have insight, intelligence and outstanding wisdom.(G)
