29 Then (A)Belshazzar gave the command, and Daniel (B)was clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put round his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
30 (C)That very night (D)Belshazzar the (E)Chaldean king was killed. 31 [a] And (F)Darius (G)the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.

29 Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck,(A) and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.(B)
30 That very night Belshazzar,(C) king(D) of the Babylonians,[a] was slain,(E) 31 and Darius(F) the Mede(G) took over the kingdom, at the age of sixty-two.[b]
