29 Then Belshazzar gave an order, and they clothed Daniel in purple, placed a gold chain around his neck,(A) and issued a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
30 That very night Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans was killed, 31 [a]and Darius the Mede(B) received the kingdom at the age of 62.

29 Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck,(A) and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.(B)
30 That very night Belshazzar,(C) king(D) of the Babylonians,[a] was slain,(E) 31 and Darius(F) the Mede(G) took over the kingdom, at the age of sixty-two.[b]
