After this, I looked; and there was another one, like a leopard with four bird’s wings on its sides. The animal also had four heads, and it was given power to rule. After this, I looked in the night visions; and there before me was a fourth animal, dreadful, horrible, extremely strong, and with great iron teeth. It devoured, crushed and stamped its feet on what was left. It was different from all the animals that had gone before it, and it had ten horns.

“While I was considering the horns, another horn sprang up among them, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. In this horn were eyes like human eyes and a mouth speaking arrogantly.

“After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard.(A) And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.

“After that, in my vision(B) at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron(C) teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled(D) underfoot whatever was left.(E) It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.(F)

“While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little(G) one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being(H) and a mouth that spoke boastfully.(I)
