Deuteronomy 12:30-31

30 they will be destroyed for you, but be careful not to be ·trapped [snared] by asking about their gods. Don’t say, “How do these nations ·worship [L serve]? I will do the same.” 31 Don’t ·worship [act toward] the Lord your God that way, because the Lord hates the ·evil [detestable; abhorrent; abominable] ways they ·worship [act toward] their gods. They even burn their sons and daughters as sacrifices to their gods!

New International Version
30 and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared(A) by inquiring about their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.”(B) 31 You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates.(C) They even burn their sons(D) and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.(E)
