Deuteronomy 1:13

¹³Choose wise, understanding, and knowledgeable men from among your tribes, and I will make them ^[a]heads over you.’

¹³Choose some wise, understanding and respected men^(A) from each of your tribes, and I will set them over you.”

⁷Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the ^(A)snare of the devil.

⁷He must also have a good reputation with outsiders,^(A) so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.^(B)
