Deuteronomy 1:37-39

37 Even with me the Lord was angry on your account, saying, ‘You also shall not enter there. 38 Joshua son of Nun, your assistant, shall enter there; encourage him, for he is the one who will secure Israel’s possession of it. 39 And as for your little ones, who you thought would become booty, your children, who today do not yet know right from wrong, they shall enter there; to them I will give it, and they shall take possession of it.

37 Because of you the Lord became angry(A) with me also and said, “You shall not enter(B) it, either. 38 But your assistant, Joshua(C) son of Nun, will enter it. Encourage(D) him, because he will lead(E) Israel to inherit(F) it. 39 And the little ones that you said would be taken captive,(G) your children who do not yet know(H) good from bad—they will enter the land. I will give it to them and they will take possession of it.

38 But Joshua the son of Nun, which standeth before thee, he shall go in thither: encourage him: for he shall cause Israel to inherit it.
39 Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
