38 (A)Joshua the son of Nun, (B)who stands before you, he shall enter. (C)Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. 39 And as for (D)your little ones, who you said would become a prey, and your children, who today (E)have no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there. And to them I will give it, and they shall possess it. 40 But as for you, (F)turn, and journey into the wilderness in the direction of the Red Sea.’

38 But your assistant, Joshua(A) son of Nun, will enter it. Encourage(B) him, because he will lead(C) Israel to inherit(D) it. 39 And the little ones that you said would be taken captive,(E) your children who do not yet know(F) good from bad—they will enter the land. I will give it to them and they will take possession of it. 40 But as for you, turn around and set out toward the desert along the route to the Red Sea.[a](G)”
