Deuteronomy 1:45

New International Version

⁴⁵You came back and wept before the Lord,^(A) but he paid no attention^(B) to your weeping and turned a deaf ear^(C) to you.

⁴⁵And ye returned and wept before the Lord; but the Lord would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.

¹⁸When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer^(A) you in that day.^(B)”

¹⁸And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day.

³When you ask, you do not receive,^(A) because you ask with wrong motives,^(B) that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

³Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
