Deuteronomy 12:30-32

30 take care (A)that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they have been destroyed before you, and that you do not enquire about their gods, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their gods?—that I also may do the same.’ 31 (B)You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way, for every (C)abominable thing that the Lord hates they have done for their gods, for (D)they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods.
32 [a] “Everything that I command you, you shall be careful to do. (E)You shall not add to it or take from it.

Deuteronomy 12:30-32
New International Version
30 and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared(A) by inquiring about their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.”(B) 31 You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates.(C) They even burn their sons(D) and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.(E)
32 See that you do all I command you; do not add(F) to it or take away from it.[a]
