⁹ for you have not as yet come to ^(A)the resting place and the ^(B)inheritance which Yahweh your God is giving you. ¹⁰ Now you will cross the Jordan and live in the land which Yahweh your God is giving you to inherit. And ^(C)He will give you rest from all your enemies around you so that you live in security.

¹⁹ Therefore it will be, when Yahweh your God has given you ^(A)rest from all your surrounding enemies, in the land which Yahweh your God gives you as an inheritance to ^[a]possess, you shall blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven; you must not forget.

⁸ For ^(A)if ^[a]Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that.
