Deuteronomy 13:2-4

2 If a prophet or one who foretells the future through dreams arises among you and performs some miraculous sign or wonder 3 and that miraculous sign or wonder occurs, and he says to you, “Let us seek after other gods which we have not previously known and serve them,” 4 you are not to listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer of dreams.[a] The Lord, your God, is testing you to see whether you love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and your soul.

New International Version
2 and if the sign(A) or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods”(B) (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet(C) or dreamer.(D) The Lord your God is testing(E) you to find out whether you love(F) him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the Lord your God you must follow,(G) and him you must revere.(H) Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast(I) to him.
