17 “^(A)You shall not sacrifice to the Lord your God an ox or a sheep which has a blemish or any ^[a]defect, for that is a detestable thing to the Lord your God.

⁸ And when you present a ^(A)blind animal for sacrifice, is it not evil? Or when you present a lame or sick animal, is it not evil? So offer it to your ^(B)governor! Would he be pleased with you, or would he receive you kindly?” says the Lord of armies.

¹⁴ “But cursed be the ^(A)swindler who has a male in his flock and vows it, but sacrifices a ^(B)blemished animal to the Lord, for I am a great ^(C)King,” says the Lord of armies, “and My name is ^[a](D)feared among the ^[b]nations.”

¹⁴ how much more will ^(A)the blood of Christ, who through ^[a](B)the eternal Spirit ^(C)offered Himself without blemish to God, ^(D)cleanse your conscience from ^(E)dead works to serve ^(F)the living God?
