Deuteronomy 17:19-20
Contemporary English Version
19 Each day the king must read and obey these laws, so that he will learn to worship the Lord with fear and trembling 20 and not think that he's better than everyone else.
If the king completely obeys the Lord's commands, he and his descendants will rule Israel for many years.

Deuteronomy 17:19-20
New International Version
19 It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life(A) so that he may learn to revere the Lord his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees(B) 20 and not consider himself better than his fellow Israelites and turn from the law(C) to the right or to the left.(D) Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel.(E)
