¹⁵ “The Lord your God will raise up for you a ^[a]prophet like me [Moses] from among you, from your countrymen (brothers, brethren). You shall listen to him.^(A)

¹⁸ I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.

²¹ They asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” And he said, “I am not.” “Are you the [promised] Prophet?” And he answered, “No.”^(A)

¹⁴ When the people saw the sign (attesting miracle) that He had done, they began saying, “This is without a doubt the promised Prophet who is to come into the world!”^(A)

²² Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a Prophet ^[a]like me from your countrymen; you shall listen to Him and obey everything He tells you.
