Deuteronomy 2:21-23

²¹^(A)a people great and many, and tall as the Anakim; but the Lord destroyed them before the Ammonites,^[a] and they dispossessed them and settled in their place, ²²as he did for the people of Esau, who live in Seir, when he destroyed ^(B)the Horites before them and they dispossessed them and settled in their place even to this day. ²³As for ^(C)the Avvim, who lived in villages as far as ^(D)Gaza, ^(E)the Caphtorim, who came from Caphtor, destroyed them and settled in their place.)

²¹They were a people strong and numerous, and as tall as the Anakites.^(A) The Lord destroyed them from before the Ammonites, who drove them out and settled in their place. ²²The Lord had done the same for the descendants of Esau, who lived in Seir,^(B) when he destroyed the Horites from before them. They drove them out and have lived in their place to this day. ²³And as for the Avvites^(C) who lived in villages as far as Gaza,^(D) the Caphtorites^(E) coming out from Caphtor^[a]^(F) destroyed them and settled in their place.)
