Deuteronomy 2:9-11

9 Then the Lord said unto me, Thou shalt not [a]vex Moab, neither provoke them to battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession, because I have given Ar unto the children [b]of Lot for a possession.
10 The [c]Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great and many, and tall, as the Anakims.
11 They also were taken for giants as the Anakims: whom the Moabites call Emims.

9 Then the Lord said to me, “Do not harass the Moabites or provoke them to war, for I will not give you any part of their land. I have given Ar(A) to the descendants of Lot(B) as a possession.”
10 (The Emites(C) used to live there—a people strong and numerous, and as tall as the Anakites.(D) 11 Like the Anakites, they too were considered Rephaites,(E) but the Moabites called them Emites.
