9 Then the Lord said to me, ‘Do not harass Moab, nor provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of [a]their land as a possession, because I have given (A)Ar to (B)the sons of Lot as a possession.’ 10 (The (C)Emim lived there formerly, a people as great, numerous, and tall as the Anakim. 11 Like the Anakim, they are also regarded as (D)Rephaim, but the Moabites call them Emim.

10 (The Emites(C) used to live there—a people strong and numerous, and as tall as the Anakites.(D) 11 Like the Anakites, they too were considered Rephaites,(E) but the Moabites called them Emites.
