9 Then the Lord said to me, ‘Do not harass Moab, nor contend with them in battle, for I will not give you any of their land as a possession, because I have given (A)Ar to (B)the descendants of Lot as a possession.’ ”
10 (C)(The Emim had dwelt there in times past, a people as great and numerous and tall as (D)the Anakim. 11 They were also regarded as [a]giants, like the Anakim, but the Moabites call them Emim.

9 Then the Lord said to me, “Do not harass the Moabites or provoke them to war, for I will not give you any part of their land. I have given Ar(A) to the descendants of Lot(B) as a possession.”
10 (The Emites(C) used to live there—a people strong and numerous, and as tall as the Anakites.(D) 11 Like the Anakites, they too were considered Rephaites,(E) but the Moabites called them Emites.
