Deuteronomy 20:4-6
The Voice
4 The Eternal, your True God, has come out here with you, and He’ll fight for you against your enemies and save you.” 5 Then the officials will say to the people who are eligible for a deferment, “Has anyone just built a new house but hasn’t begun to use it yet? Go back to your house, because if you died in this battle, someone else would dedicate it. 6 Has anyone planted a vineyard but hasn’t enjoyed its fruit yet? Go back to your house, because if you died in this battle, someone else would be the first to enjoy its fruit.
Deuteronomy 20:4-6
New International Version
4 For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you(A) to fight(B) for you against your enemies to give you victory.(C)”
5 The officers shall say to the army: “Has anyone built a new house and not yet begun to live in(D) it? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else may begin to live in it. 6 Has anyone planted(E) a vineyard and not begun to enjoy it?(F) Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else enjoy it.
