Deuteronomy 22:1-2

22 If you see an ox or a sheep that belongs to your brother Israelite going astray, do not ignore it. Return it to your brother. 2 If your brother Israelite does not live nearby and you are not acquainted with him, bring it to your own house and keep it with you until your brother comes looking for it. Then return it to him.

22 If you see your fellow Israelite’s ox or sheep straying, do not ignore it but be sure to take it back to its owner.(A) 2 If they do not live near you or if you do not know who owns it, take it home with you and keep it until they come looking for it. Then give it back.
