¹³ And the Lord will make you ^(A)the head and not the tail, and you shall only go up and not down, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, being careful to do them,

^{21 [a] (A)}Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the ^(B)Euphrates to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt. ^(C)They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

²⁴ For he had dominion over all the region west of the Euphrates from Tiphsah to ^(A)Gaza, over all the kings west of the Euphrates. ^(B)And he had peace on all sides around him.

²⁰ And mighty kings have been over Jerusalem, ^(A)who ruled over the whole province Beyond the River, to whom ^(B)tribute, custom, and toll were paid.
