Good News Translation
13 The Lord your God will make you the leader among the nations and not a follower; you will always prosper and never fail if you obey faithfully all his commands that I am giving you today. 14 But you must never disobey them in any way, or worship and serve other gods.
The Consequences of Disobedience(A)
15 “But if you disobey the Lord your God and do not faithfully keep all his commands and laws that I am giving you today, all these evil things will happen to you:

13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow(A) them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.(B) 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left,(C) following other gods and serving them.
Curses for Disobedience
15 However, if you do not obey(D) the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today,(E) all these curses will come on you and overtake you:(F)
