13 The Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always end up at the top and not at the bottom, if you obey his[a] commandments that I am urging[b] you today to be careful to do. 14 But you must not turn away from all the commandments I am giving[c] you today, to either the right or left, nor pursue other gods and worship[d] them.

If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow(A) them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.(B) 14 Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left,(C) following other gods and serving them.

Curses for Disobedience

15 However, if you do not obey(D) the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today,(E) all these curses will come on you and overtake you:(F)
