Deuteronomy 28:23-25
New English Translation
23 The[a] sky[b] above your heads will be bronze and the earth beneath you iron. 24 The Lord will make the rain of your land powder and dust; it will come down on you from the sky until you are destroyed.

- Deuteronomy 28:23 tn Or “heavens” (also in the following verse). The Hebrew term שָׁמַיִם (shamayim) may be translated “heaven(s)” or “sky” depending on the context.
- Deuteronomy 28:25 tc The meaningless MT reading זַעֲוָה (zaʿavah) is clearly a transposition of the more commonly attested Hebrew noun זְוָעָה (zevaʿah, “terror”).
Deuteronomy 28:23-25
New International Version
23 The sky over your head will be bronze, the ground beneath you iron.(A) 24 The Lord will turn the rain(B) of your country into dust and powder; it will come down from the skies until you are destroyed.
25 The Lord will cause you to be defeated(C) before your enemies. You will come at them from one direction but flee from them in seven,(D) and you will become a thing of horror(E) to all the kingdoms on earth.(F)
