⁶ Blessed shall you be ^(A)when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.

² And he said to them, “I am ^(A)120 years old today. I am no longer able to ^(B)go out and come in. The Lord has said to me, ^(C)‘You shall not go over this Jordan.’

¹⁷ who ^(A)shall go out before them and come in before them, who shall lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be ^(B)as sheep that have no shepherd.”

⁶ Then Achish called David and said to him, ^(A)“As the Lord lives, you have been honest, and to me it seems right that ^(B)you should march out and in with me in the campaign. For I have found nothing wrong in you from the day of your coming to me to this day. Nevertheless, the lords do not approve of you.

⁷ And now, O Lord my God, ^(A)you have made your servant king in place of David my father, ^(B)although I am but a little child. I do not know ^(C)how to go out or come in.
