64 Those of you that survive will be scattered to every nation on earth, and you will have to worship stone and wood idols[a] that never helped you or your ancestors. 65 You will be restless—always longing for home, but never able to return. 66 You will live in constant fear of death.

64 Then the Lord will scatter(A) you among all nations,(B) from one end of the earth to the other.(C) There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known.(D) 65 Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place(E) for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes(F) weary with longing, and a despairing heart.(G) 66 You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.
