Scattering among the Nations
64 “He’ll[a] scatter you among the nations[b] from one end of the earth to the other,[c] and there you’ll serve other gods made of wood and stones, which neither you nor your ancestors have known. 65 Among those nations you’ll have no rest. There’ll be no resting place for the soles of your feet. Instead, the Lord will give you an anxious heart, failing eyesight, and a despairing spirit. 66 You’ll cling to life, being fearful by both night and day, with no assurance of survival.

64 Then the Lord will scatter(A) you among all nations,(B) from one end of the earth to the other.(C) There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your ancestors have known.(D) 65 Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place(E) for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes(F) weary with longing, and a despairing heart.(G) 66 You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.
