13 This will make you today his own people. He will be your God, as he told you and as he ·promised [swore to] your ·ancestors [fathers] Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob [Gen. 12:1–3; 15:17–20]. 14 But I am not just making this ·agreement [covenant; treaty] ·and its promises [sworn by an oath] with you 15 who are standing here before the Lord your God today, but also with those who are not here today.

13 to confirm you this day as his people,(A) that he may be your God(B) as he promised you and as he swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. 14 I am making this covenant,(C) with its oath, not only with you 15 who are standing here with us today in the presence of the Lord our God but also with those who are not here today.(D)
