Deuteronomy 29:4-6

4 But until this very moment, the Lord hasn’t given you insight to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear. 5 I’ve led you in the wilderness forty years now; neither the clothes on your back nor the sandals on your feet have worn out. 6 Neither have you eaten bread nor drunk wine or beer during this time—so that you would know that I am the Lord your God.[a]

Deuteronomy 29:4-6
New International Version
4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear.(A) 5 Yet the Lord says, “During the forty years that I led(B) you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet.(C) 6 You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink.(D) I did this so that you might know that I am the Lord your God.”(E)
