Deuteronomy 29:4-6
International Standard Version
4 Yet to this day, the Lord hasn’t given you a heart that understands, eyes that perceive, and ears that discern. 5 Though I’ve led you for 40 years in the desert, neither your clothes nor your shoes have worn out. 6 You didn’t have bread to eat or wine or anything intoxicating to drink, so that you would learn[a] that I am the Lord your God.

New International Version
4 But to this day the Lord has not given you a mind that understands or eyes that see or ears that hear.(A) 5 Yet the Lord says, “During the forty years that I led(B) you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet.(C) 6 You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink.(D) I did this so that you might know that I am the Lord your God.”(E)
