²⁰ until the Lord gives rest to your fellow Israelites as he has to you, and they too have taken over the land that the Lord your God is giving them across the Jordan. After that, each of you may go back to the possession I have given you.”

⁹ since you have not yet reached the resting place^(A) and the inheritance^(B) the Lord your God is giving you. ¹⁰ But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the Lord your God is giving^(C) you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest^(D) from all your enemies around you so that you will live in safety. ¹¹ Then to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name^(E)—there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the Lord.^(F)

⁶⁵ Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place^(A) for the sole of your foot. There the Lord will give you an anxious mind, eyes^(B) weary with longing, and a despairing heart.^(C)
